Zaamin: A real-time video analytics platform

Description

With security cameras being installed nearly everywhere around us and the mind-blowing advancements achieved in the field of computer vision over the years, there is a wasted opportunity having to rely on human resource for watching over monitors when computer-vision models can not only do the job better, but can also be used for collecting actionable insights. Zaamin aims to bring to use the well-earned fruits of years of research in computer-vision to the local context of Pakistan. Zaamin is an Al-powered, video analytics system, capable of real-time object detection and tracking. It can effectively help humans make better decisions and keep spaces safe by automatically and autonomously analyzing the video streams in real-time and generating alarms and warnings when necessary as well as enabling post-processing investigation by making video footage searchable.
